Kansas City&#8217;s largest comics and pop culture convention will be held April 14 and 15, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>So far, two special guests have been confirmed for the show. <a title=\"Stan Sakai on Wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stan_Sakai\" target=\"_blank\">Stan Sakai<\/a>, creator of Usagi Yojimbo will return to Kansas City for Planet Comicon. Sakai most recently appeared at the 2008 Mo-Kan Comics Conspiracy show. <a title=\"Skottie Young on Wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Skottie_Young\" target=\"_blank\">Skottie Young<\/a>, illustrator of Marvel&#8217;s acclaimed <em>Wonderful Wizard of Oz<\/em> adaptations, is also on the Planet Comicon guest list. Young&#8217;s last Kansas City appearance was at the 2009 Planet Comicon.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson has promised other guest announcements will be coming soon. &#8220;We have a lot of additional potential guests whom we are confident will confirm soon,&#8221; Jackson said. &#8220;Lots of surprises.
