Comic Geek Speak podcast features Planet Comicon

Comic Geek Speak

Prominent comics podcasters Peter Rios and Brian â€œPantsâ€ Christman of Comic Geek Speak made their first appearance at Planet Comicon this year. Comic Geek Speak has now posted two podcast episodes recorded during their visit.

The first of the Kansas City episodes recounts the trip to Kansas City, visits to local comics shops, and event from the first day of the show. You can listen below or download the episode from the CGS website.

The second episode features interviews from the second day of the show, including a conversation with DC Comics writer Gail Simone who was also making her Kansas City debut. Listen the below or download the episode.

Mellon to sign his new Marvel comic book Wednesday

Local artist Kevin Mellon will appear at Elite Comics this Wednesday, April 13, from 4 PM to 8 PM to sign his latest comic book, S.H.I.E.L.D. Infinity. Â Mellon is one of multiple artists who illustrate stories written by Jonathan Hickman in the one-shot comic book.

Mellonâ€™s previous work includes Gearhead (Arcana), Thirteen Steps (Desperado), The Atheist (Desperado), and Hack/Slash (Devilâ€™s Due). You can find out more about Kevin Mellon on his website or follow him on Twitter.
